Frequently Asked Questions
These are a few of the more common questions we get asked by prospective clients considering using our services…
Q: What services do KAMP Accountants offer?
A: We cover all core areas of accountancy for individuals and businesses. This includes Self- Assessment tax returns, limited company accounts, bookkeeping, VAT returns, payroll, company formations, tax planning, and HMRC compliance support. We can also help with day-to-day queries, not just year-end work, so you’ve got support when you actually need it.
Q: Who do you typically work with?
A: Most of our clients are small businesses, sole traders, contractors, landlords, and growing limited companies. We also work with start-ups who need help getting set up properly from the beginning.
Q: Do you work with start-ups and new businesses?
A: Yes, a large part of our work involves helping new businesses get off the ground. That can include choosing the right structure (sole trader vs limited company), registering with HMRC, setting up bookkeeping systems, and making sure you understand your tax obligations from day one. The aim is to keep things simple so you can focus on building the business.
Q: How do your fees work?
A: We usually work on fixed fees, agreed upfront. That means you know exactly what you’re paying before any work begins, with no hidden costs or unexpected extras. Pricing depends on the services you need and the size of your business, but we’ll always be clear and upfront about costs from the start.
Q: Can you help reduce my tax bill?
A: We make sure you’re using all legitimate allowances, reliefs, and planning opportunities available to you. We don’t take a “once a year” approach, instead, we look at things throughout the year where possible so you can make informed decisions before it’s too late.
Q: How do we communicate with you?
A: We keep communication straightforward and responsive. You can reach us by phone or email, and we aim to reply quickly and clearly – no chasing, no confusing language. We also make sure you understand what’s going on at each stage, not just receive documents without context.
Q: Where are you based, and do you only work locally?
A: We’re based in Morden, but we work with clients across the UK. Most of our work is handled remotely, so location isn’t a barrier. That said, if you prefer a more local, face-to-face relationship, we can accommodate that where needed.
